1. Young Focus sponsors children to school

The school sponsorship project forms the basis of Young Focus's approach in helping children from poverty-stricken families living in squatter areas.
The school sponsorship project provides the finances to cover the school expenses.

1. Elementary school: For children at elementary school Young Focus provides the necessary items such as uniforms, shoes, school bag, pens, writing paper, as well as school money and money needed for special school projects, which the children have to do.
2. High school: High school students need the same kind of items as the elementary children, only the costs are quite a bit higher.
3. College and university: Things are a lot more expensive for young people studying at college or university; apart from covering the costs of the basic school materials, they also need to pay college/ university tuition fees, plus usually have extra transportation expenses.

2. Young Focus coaches the students at a Student Center

In addition to sponsoring education, Young Focus also has a Student Center where it provides various supporting activities. This center is a place where all the sponsored high school and college/university students can come to use the computers, library and different recreational areas.

1. Personal Coaching: social workers and educational coaches focus on any personal problems the students are facing, as well as the students' social and spiritual development.
2. Family Assistance: social workers also address problems arising in families, both at a social and practical level (can the family afford it if their child goes to school instead of working to provide income for the family?)
3. Educational Programs: students struggling with a subject receive extra lessons; there are also workshops and extra training to complement their studies
4. Social and Recreative Activities: Young Focus organizes various recreation activities, such as youth camp, for both the elementary children as well as the older students.
5. Follow up: Young Focus's goal is that all students ultimately find a job. In order to realize this Young Focus is networking with companies and organizations. Via these contacts the students can start to find their place in society during or after their studies.

Complete this form and sponsor a child from one of the poorest families in the Philippines!

Even today you can sponsor a student so that, via education, they are given the possibility to escape the cycle of poverty. Young Focus is doing something about this poverty and would like to ask you to join in and help. You can sponsor one or more children and help them get their school diploma.

For elementary school you pay € 6.75 (PHP 400 or USD 8.50) per month, for high school € 9.25 (PHP 550 or USD 11.50) per month and college/ university costs € 37.50 (PHP 2250 or USD 47.50) per month. As sponsor you will receive an information card with a photo, details about the child and a short description of the surrounding where the child lives.
All extra donations will be used for the running of the Student Center. Please also complete this form for gifts for the Student Center!

N.B. Of course undesignated gifts are also welcome; all gifts will be used directly or indirectly for the sponsorship of children.
