Why Kidshelpenkids.nl?
Kidshelpenkids.nl is a project run by Young Focus to involve Dutch children in the lives of their contemporaries on the other side of the world. Young Focus has made a special logo for the project. For more information see the website. (Sorry only in Dutch at the moment!)
Children in Holland learn more about children in the Philippines!
The vision of Young Focus is to provide children from squatter areas with more opportunities for personal development, socially, mentally, educationally, as well as spiritually. For many children this simply would not be possible without help from others.
So Young Focus would like to provide the children - who already do have plenty of opportunities - with information about their contemporaries. Kidshelpenkids.nl is a source of information on the backgrounds of underprivileged children living in squatter areas.
Children can also let us know via the website if they are interested in sponsoring a child of their own age.
A project for Dutch children as well as Dutch schools
Schools that are interested in the Kidshelpenkids.nl project can also collect information from the website for lesson material, etc. See also: 'Your school can help!'
